Ground Works

Currently operating a modern fleet of items of earthmoving plant and transport W.Long has progressed somewhat since it’s humble beginnings consisting of a ‘Digger’, a tractor & trailer .

The company played a vital role in 1970’s to early 2000s and have just recently completed further major works.
W.Long was also heavily involved in the construction of Canary Warf projects - all for various local and national contractors. It was these major earthworks projects of the late 90s which allowed the company to establish itself as the leading earthworks contractor in the country.

A more recent contract included the site clearance and ground and was completed within the projects construction timetable. This involved the removal of large quantities of surplus material off site, reduced level dig and infilling operations through to sewers.

These substantial works are being carried out Canary Wharf Contractors and Bovis Land Lease, a name recognised throughout the UK as being synonymous with quality built. W.Long enjoys a close working relationship with Canary Wharf Contractors Group, Bovis Land Lease, and year in year out and is proud of the successful association between these companies.
